Preheat the oven to 160 c fan 140 c gas 3. Pour lemon syrup over loaf. Wrap and let stand for 12 hours before slicing. When they were cool i spread a lemon glaze 1 1 2 cups powdered sugar zest of one lemon 3 4 tablespoons lemon juice and a little water over the top of the bottom layer put down the top layer and drizzled the remaining glaze. Line the pan with parchment paper letting it hang over two sides.
